You must know about the proper ironing of your wedding dress to look nice and good and also to avoid any type of damage to your dress. Normally the wedding dresses are made by using some sensitive and delicate fabric and regular pressing is not suitable for such type of fabrics. There are some specific techniques to press the wedding dress and some of the techniques are as follows:

Steam hot bathroom:

This is the most popular and commonly known method of pressing the wedding dress. This is an easy method to get the creases out from the wedding dress. The simple process is to hang your dress in the bathroom and open the hot shower and wait for some time so that steam can penetrate through the creases of the dress. This method will surely work to get out the simple wrinkles from your dress, but if there are deep wrinkles in your dress, then you need either the professional dry cleaner or you yourself can use the following method to iron your dress.

Pressing Delicate Fabrics:

You can press your wedding dress by setting the iron at lowest heat. Now you need to place some fabric in between the iron and your dress. Sprinkle some water on the fabric which is placed between the dress and iron. Now quickly and lightly start pressing the dress.

Another important thing to keep in mind is to start pressing your dress from the top to the end. You must press every single layer separately; this is required to keep the crease of every single layer well. You can increase the temperature while ironing the dress slowly according to the type of fabric.

Pressing Satin:

Satin is a type of fabric which gets wrinkles very easily and you cannot place the iron straight on the fabric as it can damage the fabric. So the perfect way to press the dress is to use the steamer and if you do not have the option of steamer, you can use the iron by following these instructions.

First you need to hold the iron a few inches above the dress and push the steam button to let the steam go out and at the same time straighten the dress to get out the wrinkles. But beware of touching the iron to the cloth.
You can also take the services of some professional laundry for the ironing of the dress.

Every soon to be bride wants absolutely everything to be perfect on her day, including the color of the dress that she is going to be wearing. So why shouldn’t she be able to choose which color her wedding dress is? The answer to that curious question is yes, you can dye your wedding dress.

You can dye your wedding dress very easily and in an economical way. You can dye most of the fabric materials with one exception; synthetic fiber cannot be dyed. So before you plan to dye your wedding dress, you must be sure that the material is not made up of synthetic fiber. Rest of the fabrics which are used in wedding dresses like silk, chiffon and others can be dyed.

You can dye your dress at home or you can hire the services of some professional dyer as well. But if you are going to dye your dress on your own, make sure that you have all the related material and equipment which is required for dyeing the dress. One most simple process to dye your dress is to purchase couple of bottles of the RIT dye. Now you can dye the dress by following these steps:

1.    Take a bath tub and fill it with hot water, remember to make the water as hot as you can.

2.    Make sure that while you are filling the tub with hot water, you must keep enough space in the water so that you can easily move the dress in the tub.

3.    Once the tub is filled with the right amount of water, you can add the dye color of your choice in the bathtub.

4.    Wait for some time after adding the color in the water and allow it to mix.

5.    Now you can add your wedding dress for dye in the tub.

6.    Now allow the dress to remain in the mixture for at least half an hour in order to allow the dress to soak maximum amount of the dye color.

7.    Once you are clear that the dress has soaked the right amount of color, take off the dress from the bath tub and rinse the dress in ice cold water.

8.    Continue rinsing the color until water runs clear.

9.    Now place the dress in air to get it dry.
Now you are done with the dyeing of your own choice and color.

If you are going to marry in the near future and you are planning to purchase your wedding dress, be very careful to select the dress which provides you maximum comfort. Generally wedding dresses are dresses which are made up of heavy fabric and number of layers and they are most of the time hot and uncomfortable. So avoid selecting the heavy fabric as you may end up wasting money.

The style of dress can also end up with inconvenience. If you choose a princess style, then it must have many layers which will give much warmth and if you are going to marry in summer, you will surely have maximum discomfort. Similarly if your wedding dress has puffy style, then again it may not provide you comfort and convenience. So you must select the fabric and style which should not make you sweat all the time and then make you feel uncomfortable.

Your wedding day is going to be the most memorable day for the rest of your life so you must select the dress with maximum comfort so that you can enjoy the day and remember the pleasant memories for the rest of your life. Here are some of the tips which you should keep in mind before you select your wedding dress.

1. If you are going to purchase a readymade dress, take a notice of the fabric type. The fabric selection also depends upon the choice of your style so choose a mixture of both light and heavy material if your style requires some heavy material. Satin and silk fabric materials are usually clingy and may make you feel hot.

2. The choice of color is also very important. Choose a light and bright color as it is less heat and light absorbent. So choose white or any other light color for maximum comfort.

3. Style is also very important for the wedding dress. You choose a dress because the style of the dress has attracted you at first sight. So avoid any complicated style with many layers to avoid any type of sweating and discomfort. A good choice can be a strapless dress or halter neck style.

4. The length of the dress is also very important. A dress with full length can be untidy and you may feel uncomfortable, while a dress with short length can be more comfortable.

An ivory color or white wedding dress with its long trail and delicate laces is every girl’s dream. White was a symbol of purity, innocence and unsullied heart but later became a new symbol of wealth along with the others. Wearing a white bridal dress carried a strong symbol of a new bride coming into a marriage with purity of mind and to her groom.

For decades white was considered color for mourning but that changed in the 19th century. The wedding whites included ivory, eggshell and other creamy shades. Not many preferred pure white as it was considered inauspicious in those times.

In medieval times the brides wore their best dresses in rich colors except red and black, according to their social hierarchy and status.

The tradition of white wedding gowns came from England’s monarchy when in 1840 Queen Victoria married Albert of Saxe wearing a flamboyant white gown, with an eighteen foot long train, the picture of the bride created history and the white gown became a rage. Although many brides still wore colored gowns, white became the chosen hue for weddings in the western world. It was also a symbol of class and status and limited to the affluent for some time.

A wedding in extravagant spotless white gown meant one was rich enough to buy dresses which were worn only once and never used again because of the color (not easy to clean in those days).

Among those styles of weddings dresses that do not depend on trends and are almost every girl’s dream, Cinderella Wedding Gowns lead the pack. Many-a-times these are chosen for a ‘fairytale theme’ wedding, but are as sought-after a choice for other weddings also. Some of the key features of these dresses are being discussed below:

Cut and Style

Fundamentally, the style of Cinderella wedding gowns is flamboyant. The choice of dress is quiet dependent upon the body type of the bride. Therefore, both, the ‘Full Ball Gown,’ as well as multilayer princess ‘A-Line Gowns’ are apt choices. ‘Ball Gowns,’ for instance, give the appearance of lower elevation and are not recommended for short people. However, they are good fits for bulkier structures, such as pear-shapes and full-figures, for they can very well hide the extra fat along the waist and hip area, giving you a baby-doll look. ‘A-Line Gowns,’ on the other hand, are universal in design and suit most body types.

Dress Material

A wide variety of dress materials can be used for Cinderella Wedding Dresses. From light materials, such as tulle, chiffon, & crepes to heavier fabrics silk, satin, and cotton, all find place in this style. The fabric can be used plain, brocaded, beaded, embroidered, or glittered, singly or in combination. Often the dress is stitched in layers of same or different fabrics, which add a unique flow to the lower skirt. There is a wide variety of colors and shades, you may choose from, such as crèmes, platinum, ivories, dazzling whites, or tinged.
